Vampire patient zero

Double fore-limbed ancient vampire creature.
I always love going back to these classic monsters and have fun with their looks. In this case the idea behind the look was inspired by Béla Lugosi’s Dracula collar. Why was that utilized? Who came up with that now legendary look?
So to answer it I had this idea of someone from the film crew actually met a real vampire. And mistook the echo-chambers on the vapire’s shoulder to be collars. The hands also like a cape draping, framing the body and two arms for grabbing action. The horror never stops!!!
